After reading Stacy's trombone site, apparently the Met is auditioning one of their 2 bass spots.

joke post!
Do NOT take this seriously; I just COULDN'T resist.
{ I missed the resume deadline and the tape deadline, but I think I'm gonna "crash" the audition anyway! Besides, when I make the finals... }

Any word on who got the spot? A guy I played with in high school was a finalist, and that was the last I heard.

I don't think the audition has happened yet. I think it is scheduled for mid-June.

Oh. Well then, I guess I heard wrong. Maybe it was just that he was invited to audition or something.

Wish Paul the absolute best of luck! Those professional auditions can be nerve-wracking, but an awesome experience nonetheless! Tell him to keep on sheddin'! You too!

Paul Pollard is the winner! Congratulations to him, his family and to the MET Orchestra.
Mike Priddy is the runner-up; he was the other finalist, and also deserves a big "Bravo".
Thanks to all who came out to audition.

Congrats to Mike Priddy! He and I were in the USAF Heritage of America Band together and he was a beast then! I am glad to hear that he is doing well for himself.
