The Tubonium5 Solo Competition information is up now - www.houseoflowaire.com (web link error fixed now - sorry!). Prize money will be increased this year. I should know exact dollar amounts by the end of the year, as I am waiting on a sponsor donation.

This is a great competition. It's run smoothly and fairly and the competitors get lots of feedback on their audition and a chance to have one-on-one time with the judges. Everyone serious about competitions in the upper midwest should enter this one at Gustavus. The way Paul runs this, everyone who competes ends up a winner.

A little word of advice....this is really not the place to gossip about other people's playing abilities. You never know who's lurking on this forum.

no one is trying to gossip, Ben Lewis is an old friend of mine. I just want to know how he's doing on his horn. Since I can't hear him, i think a good idea would be to ask someone who can.

Also, wouldn't gossip be something like "Hey I heard [insert name] is [insert circumstance]." ? :?
