Youth Orchestra needs tubist or bass t-bone for Europe Tour

Hello friends,

The Musique Sur La Mer Youth Symphony Orchestra out of the City of Los Alamitos, CA is in need of a tuba player or bass trombonist to accompany them on their summer tour to Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic. The dates are June 19th through July 2nd, 2007 flying on Delta Airlines.

The cost of the trip is $4,600 but they have fundraised $2,000 towards a tubist or bass trombonist to go. Perhaps someone out there on tubenet can afford the remaining $2,600 to go with them on the tour.

I wish I could do it but I did not come up with the money on time. I have participated with this organization in the past and everything here is legit. below is a letter from the director: Please note that although it says the total cost is no more than $4, 880 per person the remaining balance for a tuba player or bass trombonist is $2, 600

I am the conductor of the Musique Sur La Mer Youth Symphony. This orchestra has grown tremendously, in size, musicly and stature over the past five years. This summer we are going to Salzburg, Vienna and Prague. We will be performing with the world famous Vienna Boys' Choir in the Golden Hall of the Musikverein and in the Great Hall of the Mozarteum! We are inviting a very select few of professional musicians to go along with us to perform and a few friends who might truly enjoy this tour (non-performing - but great seats at all concerts). The travel dates are from June 19 - July 2, 2007. The total cost is no more than $4,880 per person and includes all transportation (air and ground), 3-star hotel accommodations (doubles, triples and quads), 2 meals daily (usually breakfast and dinner), incredible sight-seeing and 4 (possibly 5) concerts that we will be performing, airline tax, tour guide gratuity and tour tee shirt. If you are interested in going on tour with us, please contact me immediately. Th initial deposit of $300 per person would be due immediately. We only have 23 spots left to go on tour with us. If you would like to support these fine young musicians through a tax deductible donation - we would be most grateful.
