I'm now teaching at.......

Post by scottmendoker »

Hi All -

I am very happy and honored to tell you that, starting this Fall, I'll be teaching at the Hartt School of Music, U.Mass/Amherst AND Rutgers.

HARTT SCHOOL - I am extremely excited about my appointment at Hartt. They have a wonderful and unique conservatory style program with loads of performing opportunities. The icing on the cake for me is that, along with a world-class faculty, I get to teach with JAMES JACKSON - Principal Euphonium with the Coast Guard Band. James will be teaching applied euphonium, teach a studio class and he and I will share the responsibilities of the Tuba/Euphoinum Ensemble - or as James calls it, The Euphonium/Tuba Ensemble. And, they have genuine scholarship money for qualified students.
Hartt's web site is: http://harttweb.hartford.edu/

U.MASS/AMHERST - This is a one year position while Matt Gaunt is on leave. Matt's left me with a wonderful and talented bunch of students. There, I'll be teaching both tuba and euphonium and performing with the faculty brass quintet,
Infinity Brass. Again, this is a wonderful place to be - incredible faculty and school: http://www.umass.edu/music/

RUTGERS - This is my 21st year at Rutgers - a really fantastic school. Location is everything and we are able to draw from the best of New York and Philadelphia. Please go to the the web site:

Please contact me if you have any questions.

Thanks -
