I know we haven't quite reached the deadline, but did anybody hear back regarding competitions?

If I remember correctly, Falcone was right on the money this year...if they can be as prompt with these notifications, it would be beautiful!

its a conspiracy...

Falcone competition early entry deadline is coming up this week, and as you all know the euphonium artist prelims CD recordings are the same as ITEC solo competition...minus 1 etude...

So all those that are waiting to see if their CD is good enough to go to ITEC would probably want to send the same recording to Falcone...

But i'm betting they won't tell us about ITEC until after the deadline for early Falcone deadline BECAUSE...

They want us to wait so that we have to pay $30 extra for Falcone!

only kidding though...

Dude, this thing is being run and organized by a bunch of TUBA and Euphonium players. Do you really think it's going to be on time? Now to answer the question, I had two students submit tapes and they have not heard a thing yet.

Checks for the application fee have yet to clear the bank... Did they take the money and flee the country?

Tim Northcut is waiting for a few of the judges to return tapes from their respective categories. He doesn't want send e-mails for the categories that are done while others have to wait. Just hold your horses and your rejection letters will soon be in the mail.
