For those who are intrerested in the results of the Concertgebouw Orchestra audition this past week, the jury selected Perry Hoogendijk as their winner. Perry is (was) as student of Hans Nickel and Rex Martin, and has been performing with the Holland Sinfonia for the past several years. I do not know all of the finalists names, but understand that there were three finalists; Perry, Stephane Lebarie, and a young Spanish man (sorry, no name). The jury were impressed by the level of all three candidates and I understand it was a difficult decision.
For those who have met Perry know that he is a HARD worker who overcame some great obsticals to achieve his dream of playing with the KCO. Make sure you check him out when you get the chance.
