Greetings all,

As you may know, I recently started my new position at Miami University (Ohio). As things turn out, I have a very unique situation to handle. We have five low brass majors, and three will be leaving in December (two to student teaching, one graduating). That being said, I am looking for viable new recruits. I have been given funding for scholarships, so there is the possibility of financial assistance. If anyone knows of a student who is looking to start in January, please send them my way. For any current students seeing this, I do not want to take anyone away from an existing studio, so if you are enrolled somewhere please do not apply. For further information please feel free to contact me at TubaMan246@aol.com" target="_blank" target="_blank.

Many thanks for your time!

Tim

Sounds like a great way to get a "full" scholarship without being forced to march. Good luck on your search.

In my (ridiculously) long college career, I don't recall ever seeing a new student start in the spring semester...is this as unusual as I think?

Todd and All,

Yup, it is very unusual for a student to start in January... hence, my plea to everyone. But, knowing the crew around TubeNet, I have complete confidence things will work out.

Tim

Hey Mr. Olt. Good to know that your program is expanding. I am hoping to apply to your school after I graduate from TX A&M CC in May '09. I will keep in touch with you when I'm able to regarding assistantships for grad school. Have a good school year. -Jose Noriega
