The Texas Music Festival will be held at the University of Houston's Moores School of Music
June 5 -July 3, 2009.
It's a great performance opportunity for college and young professional musicians. All students who are accepted receive full tuition and housing.
The 2009 orchestral repertoire includes -
Strauss -- Alpine Symphony, Till Eulenspiegel's Merry Pranks
Rachmaninoff -- Symphony No. 3
Bernstein -- Symphonic Dances from West Side Story
Christopher Theofanidis -- Symphony (premiere)
The deadline for submission of recorded auditions is 2/14/09.

I was the tuba player in this festival this past summer, and I highly recommend applying. It is a great chance to gain some experience playing in a strong orchestra, and to study with a great teacher. Plus, its free! Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.
