Here's the scoop:

17 people invited, 5 advanced to the finals.

Those 5 were:
Bud Holmes
Kyle Heron
Phillip Bloomer
Mary MacKinnon
(I don't remember # 5's name)

Bud Homes won, Kyle Heron was runner up, and Phillip Bloomer was 2nd runner up.

I was not at the audition.. my soon to be departed for Alaska stand partner was there. I got the distinct pleasure of playing an outdoor ceremony on Sousaphone, back here in Dayton. He said the talent pool was quite high all around.

I'm looking forward to having a new tubist to sit next to in the near future!

John Rider volunteered for the quintet spot in the band stationed in Alaska.

I will surely miss him. He's incredibly easy to play next to!

I am looking forward to having someone new in the section. You've got some big musical shoes to fill!
