I was Toms GA at Kent last year and he is a fantastic teacher. I learned a lot studying with him over the year. The assitantship is also fantastic because it is completely performance based and only requires participation in a couple of ensembles. You have plenty of time to focus on practicing because the load is so small and you shouldn't need to get a job because of the cash stipend every two weeks.

Northeast Ohio also offers many performance opportunities having quite a few orchestras and other performance venues. Plus it is in proximity to orchestras in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Central Ohio.

Feel free to email me jdicesar@kent.edu" target="_blank with any questions regarding the assistantship or the school in general. You won't regret studying with Tom!

Go apply!
