Hello TubeNetters,

I want to let you know that I will have several openings for graduate students at Carnegie Mellon University and Duquesne University, beginning Fall 2010. While neither school has a dedicated Graduate Assistantship for Tuba, I anticipate (based on past years) that at least one full-tuition Assistantship will be made available at both schools for qualified applicants. To be clear, these Assistantships can cover full-tuition cost at maximum, but would not include any additional cash stipend.

More information on the School of Music at Carnegie Mellon University, and the Mary Pappert School of Music at Duquesne University - as well as audition requirements and dates - can be found through the links I have included below. Each school has programs for Master of Music Performance and Artist Diploma; neither school has a DMA program.

Please feel free to contact me with questions you may have about the programs or the auditions.

Best,

Craig Knox
