BALL STATE UNIVERSITY -- Assistant/Associate Professor of Music Performance/Tuba/Euphonium. Tenure-track position available August 19, 2011. Responsibilities: teach undergraduate and graduate applied tuba and euphonium students, perform with the Da Camera Brass Quintet and other faculty chamber music ensembles, provide an artistic model in a fine arts setting, maintain a national profile in performance and professional service, recruit and maintain a strong studio, advise students, participate in the student chamber music program, assist in job and graduate student placement, curricular development, and faculty governance. Minimum qualifications: master's degree in music, strong performance history and record of successful college teaching. Preferred qualifications: demonstrated ability to recruit and retain quality students on the college level, exceptional background in tuba performance and/or scholarship, completed doctorate, experience in coaching chamber music and/or teaching low brass repertoire and pedagogy.
