Euphonium Teaching Position Available

EUPHONIUM TEACHING POSITION AVAILABLE AT MONTCLAIR STATE UNIVERSITY, MONTCLAIR, NJ

Montclair State University’s John J. Cali School of Music seeks applications for the position of Adjunct Euphonium Instructor, beginning September 1st, 2011. Responsibilities include: teach all euphonium majors; conduct the Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble; coach chamber music; teach the Tuba-Euphonium Practicum studio class; recruit both tuba and euphonium students; and coordinate larger aspects of the tuba-euphonium program at MSU. Interest in interacting with one or more additional areas of our program, such as jazz, wind ensemble or new music may also be taken into consideration. A Master's in Music or commensurate professional experience is required; Doctorate in Music preferred. Successful teaching experience at the university level and evidence of significant experience as a solo and ensemble performer are preferred. A big congrats to William Hess on becoming the new Professor of Euphonium at Montclair State University! Way to go Will!
