Rex Martin and Fritz Kaenzig Tuba-Euphonium Master Class!

Rex Martin, professor of tuba and euphonium at Northwestern University, and Fritz Kaenzig, professor of tuba and euphonium at the University of Michigan, will present a five day performance workshop for tuba players. During this intensive week, students will have the opportunity to study with both teachers in a master class setting. Various sessions will include, but are not limited to: audition preparation, recital preparation, efficient practice techniques, the psychology of performance, effectively combating stage fright, fundamental and advanced techniques, breathing, and pedagogy. In addition to the master classes, both Mr. Kaenzig and Mr. Martin will present solo recitals. The deadline for performer applications is May 1, but it has been extended to accommodate more participants! Auditors are encouraged.
