Jeff,
You would have to contact our Auditions folks to get a read on your situation. usafbandaudition@afncr.af.mil" target="_blank. We're pretty much shut down over the holidays so you may not get a reply until the new year.

MSgt Morgan sent me a message stating that the AF audition would be open to prior service/current service members.
Thanks for the reply.

<BUMP>
Hope you are all working on your tapes. As the bass trombonist of the USAF Concert Band (see? it says so right down there at the bottom
), I am looking forward to hearing some great playing, and finding a new member of our, if I may say so, stellar low brass section. (The upper part of the band ain't too shabby either.)

From what I've heard, the finalists were:
Dan Castillo
Genevieve Clarkson
Simon Wildman
Kyle Huron
...although I make this statement with no sense of authority, just merely passing on what I've heard through the grapevine's grapevine.

Here's a start:
I know that there were 18 in the first round, and 5 people advanced. An additional 5 were added to that group (finalists from March and/or currently in a regional USAF band). From that round of 10, 4 were advanced to the finals this afternoon.
