We are looking to add some members to the Tuba studio at Southeast Missouri State University (http://www.semo.edu/music/). On-campus audition dates for music majors are: Saturday, February 4, 2012 and Saturday, March 3, 2012 (schedule a time by contacting Beverly Delph at bdelph@semo.edu). Non-music major auditions for ensemble participation are scheduled by appointment with our new director of bands Dr. Martin Reynolds (mreynolds@semo.edu). Southeast is offering competitive tuition and some very nice scholarships... including additional money for marching band participation...
Marching Band participation scholarships:
First year members -- $500
Second year members -- $650
Third year members -- $750
Fourth year members -- $1000
Southeast also has reciprocal tuition agreements in place with some surrounding areas... Southern Illinois, Western Kentucky, Western Tennessee and Northeastern Arkansas (see map-- http://www.semo.edu/raa/). There are some really exciting things happening in the tuba studio and Dr. Reynolds is doing an outstanding job with the band program (the Southeast Wind Symphony just completed a performance as a "featured" group at MMEA). Additionally the music department is located in a beautiful new multi-million dollar arts complex on the banks of the Mississippi river (SEMO River Campus-- http://www.semo.edu/rivercampus/index.htm).
If you have any questions or would like to set up a campus tour or schedule a lesson, please feel free to contact me (cwkelley@semo.edu).
