2012 Calvin Smith Brass Quintet Competition

Hi all,
I posted this in the Upcoming Events section, too but it is technically an audition, so here 'tis:

2012 Calvin Smith Festival and Brass Quintet Competition July 6&7, 2012 in Oak Ridge, TN.

Brass Quintet Competition features two divisions, Student (up to age 23) and Open (no age limit). Repertoire and application procedure are listed on the website. Deadline for reduced entrance fee is May 1. I've heard from some international folks and yes, this is open to groups from any country. Cash prize amounts are listed on the website.

There is also a festival component to the weekend, too- so please consider attending even if you do not compete. It will be a great time.

Judges for the competition will include Bernhard Scully, John Marchiando, Sande MacMorran, Tina Erickson, Don Hough, Robert Owen and possibly a double-top-secret tuba judge (no, not me).
