Hello college bound tuba players; I'm excited to announce Bard College Conservatory has 1 opening for a new tuba undergraduate major for Fall 2013! Bard Conservatory is a highly selective school, accepting only the highest caliber young musicians from around the world to study at the college. For this coming Fall, I will be accepting one new undergraduate to join my studio. Bard College is located in scenic Annandale, NY, about 2 hours north of New York City. A truly international school, Bard Conservatory boasts world class facilities, including the gorgeous The Richard B. Fisher Center for the Performing Arts (designed by Frank Gehry, who also designed the Walt Disney Concert Hall in L.A.). In addition to the world class faculty you'll work with on a daily basis, you'll also have to the opportunity to perform with Bard's Conservatory Orchestra, conducted by Leon Botstein (Music Director, American Symphony Orchestra; also president of Bard College), as well as numerous chamber opportunities (quintet, brass ensemble, etc.). I have also recently added a weekly low brass excerpt class, where we'll focus on many of the important excerpts called for in orchestral auditions.
