Hi Everyone,

I have an opening next Fall for a teaching assistant in the tuba studio at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. This position is open to anyone interested in pursuing a Master of Music degree.

The assistantship comes with a tuition waiver and a stipend of aprox. 8,000-9,000. Responsibilities include rehearsals, performances, and outreach with the Graduate Brass Quintet and administrative duties within the tuba/euphonium studio.

UMass Amherst is a large state university with a thriving music department. We are relatively close to Boston and New York and have easy access to major East Coast musical institutions.

Although the official deadline for application has past, there is some flexibility for anyone interested in applying. Please contact me if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Hi John,
Congratulations on the job! It's been a few years but I'm glad to see you're doing well. I would love to audition, but unfortunately my current gig doesn't end until next fall.
