Atlantic Brass Band - 2nd Euph/Baritone Opening

Post by Jacob.Guilbeau »

It is with great sadness that I share this opening:

The Atlantic Brass Band, one of New Jersey's premiere volunteer ensembles, has an opening for second euphonium/first baritone starting in early June. The band rehearses at Rowan University on Sundays from 7-9 pm and Thursday from 7:30-9:30 pm. Typical band schedule includes performances in eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. If interested, please email Bryan Appleby-Wineberg (applebywineberg@rowan.edu" target="_blank) and Amy Bliss (amyschumakerbliss@gmail.com" target="_blank) for more information.

I've been the 2nd Euph with this great group for the past two years and will be moving back to CA in June. If you are a dedicated player looking to contribute to a NABBA Championship winning Brass Band, here is your chance. Amy Bliss is the Solo Euphonium and is so phenomenal both as a performer and person - you will grow and learn having her play directly in your ear.

I couldn't recommend this group or this experience enough.

The opening is for 2nd Euph but considering Euph is a very demanding position I think they are willing to move the current Solo Baritone to 2nd and have a new person be new Solo Baritone.

Either way it will be a demanding position and no, you don't need to own both horns.
