SERTEC Competitions
Knoxville 2015

The competition format for SERTEC 2015 is somewhat different than most conference competitions. By executing a competition prior to the event, conference participants will be able to enjoy the entire slate of onsite events rather than missing recitals and classes due to concurrent competitions.

Players of all levels on both tuba and euphonium and student chamber groups are invited to submit up to 12 minutes of their playing to be considered for a recital slot at the conference. A committee of judges from outside of the southeast will evaluate the audition submissions anonymously and select the finest performances to be included on programs throughout the conference. Ten performers will be selected to present at the conference

To enter the competition:
• Please upload up a performance, no longer than 12 minutes, to the ITEA website. You will see clear instructions on entering your submission. There will be a $10 entry fee, which will be used by the conference host to pay the adjudicators of the competition and the accompanists of the winning candidates.
• Submissions must be uploaded by 11:59 pm on December 1, 2014. All candidates will be notified by e-mail no later than January 15, 2015.
• Submissions shall consist of live unedited performances.
• There are no guidelines for repertoire. Performers may submit the repertoire of their choice.
