After a few years of hiatus, I'm back to teaching private tuba lessons. The University of Vermont(UVM), recognized by many national publications, is located in a beautiful town of Burlington, Vermont. There are quite a few musical organizations in this somewhat small town, including: two professional orchestras, Vermont Symphony Orchestra and Burlington Chamber Orchestra; two full orchestras and three string orchestras in Vermont Youth Orchestra Association, numerous community ensembles such as Green Mountain Mahler Festival Orchestra, ME/2 Orchestra, Burlington Civic Orchestra and a few more, and chamber music festivals. The music department has a full-orchestra (conducted by yours truly), two concert bands, a pep band, several jazz ensembles and combos, and chamber ensembles. Most students are required to have a minor or double major at UVM.
