Tuba Euphonium Openings in NC

Post by ASTuba »

Hi everyone,

I have been informed that both Campbell and Methodist Universities will have several openings for tuba and euphonium players for the 2015-16 academic year. Both universities offer many opportunities not available to students in larger programs.

Campbell University, which is located 40 minutes south of Raleigh, NC, has a music department that encourages student leadership throughout the music department. The mission of Campbell University is to graduate students with exemplary academic and professional skills who are prepared for purposeful lives and meaningful service. Students in the Music Department can expect to conduct many ensembles throughout their tenure at the university, and work with great faculty in a wonderful facility. Scholarship money is available for participation in the concert and athletic bands, as well as for scholastic and musical ability.

Methodist University, which is located in Fayetteville University, is about to renovate their Fine Arts Building, including a multi-million dollar renovation of Huff Auditorium. The purpose of Methodist University is to provide an undergraduate and graduate education firmly grounded in the liberal arts tradition that nurtures moral values and ethical decision making; to provide distinctive professional and graduate programs that complement the undergraduate programs; to provide educational and cultural services and resources to the community; and to prepare students for a variety of careers and educational pursuits. Methodist University offers (2) full scholarship offers to undergraduates in the Music Department every year. Auditions are competitive for these spots.

For more information on either university, feel free to contact me. Thanks very much!
