Graduate Assistantship at Colorado State University

Post by stephendombrowski »

Hello TubeNet,
The studio at CSU will be in need of a Graduate Tuba player starting in Fall 2016. Auditions can be held anytime, not just during our open weekends in February. Send me an email to schedule an audition. The assistantship is, unfortunately, not tuba specific, but consists of being a classroom assistant with some grading responsibilities. It provides a 1/2 tuition waiver and a stipend.

I also need undergraduate tuba players, whether performance, music ed, or non major. I have as many as 4 spots open and scholarships are available to those who play a qualifying audition. Auditions are held in late February on campus at CSU. Audition requirements can be found here: http://www.stephendombrowski.com/teaching.html.

The tuba studio is small, so there are lots of performance opportunities in the CSU orchestra, wind symphony, symphonic band, and chamber groups. Each year, we have Octubafest and guest artist masterclasses. More information is available here: http://music.colostate.edu/brass.

The CSU School of Music is located in the University Center for the Arts, a wonderful facility that also houses Theater and Dance programs. Ft. Collins is a beautiful town at the foothills of the Rockies, one hour from Denver, where I perform with the Colorado Symphony almost every weekend throughout the school year. Visit the music website and explore the programs http://music.colostate.edu and online applications for undergrads http://music.colostate.edu/academics/un ... -interview. Graduate applications are also online, but you must email me directly to schedule an audition stephenjdombrowski@gmail.com" target="_blank" target="_blank.

There are lots of opportunities here at CSU, hope to see you! Please feel free to email me with any questions. Thanks,
Stephen Dombrowski

Hello all,
I am happy to announce that starting in January, euphonium will be joining the studio at CSU! So I am now in need of some undergraduate euphoniums starting in Fall 2016. I am not sure that the change has been made on the CSU website, so please contact me directly with questions or if you are interested in auditioning. Thank you!
