Happy Holidays to all,

I am excited to announce that I have a graduate assistantship in Euphonium available for the 2017-18 school year at the University of Southern Mississippi. This is a euphonium-only assistantship (my tuba GA will open for 2018-19). Duties will include teaching undergraduate euphonium (possibly some tuba as well), and assisting with the USM Tuba/Euphonium Ensemble. We have an active program and our ensemble is a frequent performer at regional and international conferences.

Benefits include in-state AND out-of-state tuition waiver, an annual stipend (GAs received $7200 in the 2016-17 year), and health insurance. There are also opportunities to teach privately or as an adjunct at public schools and community colleges in the area. USM offers the Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees in performance.

For more information, please contact me at Richard.H.Perry @usm.edu or at 601-266-6441. Thanks!
