A suggestion...

Post by MikeMilnarik »

Would it be possible to have two different sections of auditions on this site - one for professional positions - performance and teaching positions, etc and another section for college music departments and festivals, etc?

If not, no big deal. Just thought it might help everyone to be able to sift through things a little bit easier.

Thanks!

That isn't a bad idea. Perhaps you should repost this in Feedback as well.

Will do! Thought each section was monitored by a different person.

Thanks!

You're right, we tuba players have SO many opportunities, it's impossible to keep them all straight!! :P

(j/k -- I think it's a good idea... even with a small number of opportunities, posts get bumped, buried, and lost, and perfectly relevant things go unnoticed. The seems like it would help!)

I have always liked this idea, and it has been suggested a few times, but I don't think there is much love for it. This could be the most visited forum for those who are not TubeNet "regulars" and the professor types no doubt like all the eyeballs they can get on their posts in here.

Rest assured, the "real" auditions still get the most views, and there are plenty of people still showing up.

The position of tubist with the Schmenge Brothers has been filled by myself. A Canadian of non-Leutonian descent, however a Canadian none the less who happens to have a 4/4 recording bell tuba to play with the group. Thank you for your expression of interest in this opportunity!
