Folks!

I am looking for a masters or doctoral tuba or euphonium player! Or an exceptional euphonium undergraduate.

Why UCLA?

- For graduate students, I personally guarantee the time and attention required to get you whipped into shape and prepared for the professional world! Sometimes this means lots of extra lessons, sometimes this means long phone calls. But it always means I am making sure you're on the right track to get out there and play at the top of your game.

- As a graduate student, you have the opportunity to work with me in setting course curriculum for the year, conducting the tuba & euph ensemble, possibly conducting brass ensemble, and leading the occasional studio class.

- Tons of playing experiences at school, small studio size (currently 5 tubas, 2 euphs).

- One of the most beautiful campuses on earth and the leading public research university in America.

- Los Angeles is filled with limitless opportunities to explore whichever direction you'd like to take your career. Whether you're interested in becoming primarily an orchestral player or you'd like to explore the freelance scene, new music scene, or get more involved in education, L.A. has got it all and then some!

- Financial aid is very much available, and every graduate student I've had has received an academic teaching assistantship starting in the middle of their first year! In-state tuition rates are available to California residents; if you are a graduate student coming from out-of-state, it is possible to claim California residency after one year, which will cut your tuition costs by two-thirds!

If you are interested in applying for the studio and will be in Los Angeles before the audition date, you are more than welcome to come and play for me for no charge.

If you'd like to learn more, click the link to access the UCLA Tuba and Euphonium Studio website: http://uclatubas.weebly.com/audition.html The deadline to apply is December 1st. We are old-school, so we do not do pre-screening tapes. If you cannot make it to L.A. to audition, you may be allowed to send a video recording. Contact me for further details.

Please feel free to contact me anytime via e-mail or private message. If you'd like to talk on the phone, send me a message with your number and I'll get in touch with you.

Thanks,
Aubrey Foard

December 11th is the new application deadline. So, if you're a deadline junky, you have a week and a half longer to procrastinate.
