If it is an RCA, that would be Paul Krzywicki and Dee Stewart playing the Tuba I part on a euphonium.

Could it be that Abe Torchinsky was still with Philadelphia when this recording was made?

Early 70s, it would be Abe Torchinsky (until 1973). After that it would be Paul Krzywicki.
