home alone 2: lost in new york

Post by Casey Tucker »

i was sitting here watching this movie and just happened to pick up on some of the things they say/do. it's funny how many things you won't understand till your a little older. anyways, there's a massive tuba solo when he's in the toy store and then PLENTY of lowbrass/tuba moments throughout the movie. any idea what orchestra and who the tubist was for this movie?

oo thanks. wonderful playing in that movie. any idea who the orchestra is? it shows the new york phil (assuming. i appologize if im wrong) in the scene when he's w/ the homeless lady in the concert hall. but if Mr. Self is playing then i would be wrong wouldn't i?

Don't know if the NY Phil was featured or not (I haven't seen the movie, actually), but the original score would've been recorded out here in the L.A. studios. There's a possibility that even if something was filmed back in New York that featured an orchestra, that it might've been overdubbed out here in L.A. Just guessing on that, though...
