I did. :o) I hope you liked it!

The section was Charlie Loper, tenor trombone
Phil Teele, bass trombone and contrabass trombone
Don Waldrop, bass trombone and tuba.

Shirley Walker often wrote the tuba as the middle voice in these scores, with Teele putting more brightness on the bottom notes.

Is that at all common in film/television scoring, or is she the only one who ever did that?

It was unusual but not unknown. She created a "logo" sound with that motif, D-E-F-Bflat-A, with that voicing mixed with horns.
