Anybody know who played tuba on this recording? My CD booklet says it was recorded in Salzburg in 1992. I am just wondering if Gene Pokorny or Floyd Cooley performed on this since that was the year Pokorny played in the LA phil. Just curious about the tuba roster for the concert. Thanks for any info you can throw my way.

Gene played in the LA Phil from October 1992-August 1993. I was in Salzburg with the Los Angeles Philharmonic for the month of August in 1992, the Chicago Symphony was there a few weeks before we arrived and Gene was on that tour as far as I know.

I do believe that was Gene on that recording and Charlie Vernon playing(on bass-bone) the second part at points. I remember hearing something about this but of course only Gene can confirm this.
