Outside Kings Cross station in London

I was in London on last Sunday or Monday and there was a man outside Kings Cross playing a flaming tuba. Well, there was a recording going on and he looked like he was playing, but I was moving right along and didn't get a look. There were flames coming out of the bell and it sounded like he was playing over the recording and not just fake playing, but I didn't see his hands or anything and had to get in to make a train to Cambridge.

Is he a common resident outside Kings Cross?
