I grew up listening to my grandfather's copy of this album. It it is titled "Screamers". The tuba players listed on the back cover are Jay McAllister and Dan Perantoni.

-The recording with Hammersmith, Crown Imperial, etc from 1958-59
-The recording with Gould's West Point Symphony, etc from 1959 (the rest of that was recorded in 1963)

The 1960 Eastman WE recording, "The Civil War - Its Music and Its Sounds. " The liner notes indicate Roger Bobo played an over the shoulder Eb bass.

FWIW - Jay Krush and I were the WE tubists in 1973-74. We didn't make any recordings, though.
