I'm trying to find any CSO Wagner Cd's with Solti or Reiner...The only ones Ive found are compilation cd's with other Orchestra's on it besides CSO...Are there any Cd's around that have just CSO...?...Thanks

I know Solti made complete recordings of The Flying Dutchman and Die Meistersinger with the CSO, and they are both great recordings, orchestra and singers alike. As far as orchestral excerpts and/or overtures are concerned, the only recordings I know of with the CSO are conducted by Daniel Barenboim.

I own an older RCA cd of Wagner works with Reiner and the CSO. I happened to listen to it a few weeks ago and remembered THAT'S what Meistersinger is SUPPOSED to sound like.

Perfect tuba playing.
