There are a couple of former Principal Tuba players of the Israel Philharmonic lurking here in Chicago. But who is the current Principal Tuba and presumably playing on this broadcast?

Shemuel "Adi" Hershko. Is principal tuba for the Israel Philharmonic. Great recording of his is the Mahler 6 with Mehta. Phenomenal playing. Check out the hammer blows in the last movement with he and the bass trombonist. WOW.
