From the liner notes:
The [Three] Suns have remained the same over the years. But as on other of their recent hits, they've added instruments. They've got some novel ones here: chimes, bells, an oboe, and two tubas.

My hero, Ed Livingston was on this album! It is a hoot...this will make me pull it out and listen again and smile from ear to ear!

One of the tubas was Harvey Phillips. I am not aware of another tuba player. Oftentimes multiple sideman split an LP-- in the event the session was recorded over a number of days (and he/she had a commitment on the other date).
