This was recorded in '89 with Chicago, so is it Pokorny? I think this is the best Planets recording...

I'm 99% sure this was Gene. He uses this example in his masterclass as a comparison/contrast to the 1979 LA recording with Tommy Johnson and Roger Bobo. Unless Levine did a later recording with CSO and that is actually the one Gene uses........

It is Pokorny. It was one of the first recordings he did with the CSO.....I think the first one, if memory serves me correct, was the Levine/CSO recording of Bartok's 'Concerto for Orchestra'.
