Mahler 7/Chicago/Abbado-Tenor Horn solo

Just wondering if anyone has any inside info on who played the tenor horn solo in this recording. My guess would be either Friedman or Gilbertson (??)
FYI: The copyright on the CD jacket says '84 and the label is DG.
