Who plays tuba on the Leon Redbone recordng of this tune?
I just heard it this morning on the radio on my way to school and the guy's tone is awesome. It is just so fat (and phat!) and "rippy" and on the end of the tune he drops a bomb for a stinger. Very cool....
do you know the name of the album this tune is on?
Is this Redbone's regular tuba player.
I will have to check out more Redbone.

Jim Self. On the liner notes. Joe Dorn played all the other tracks with the exception of Seduced.

i saw Mr. Redbone on the Carson show and he had a bass sax instead of tuba.Normally i would never support the substitution of any instrument for the tuba, however,it was really cool and very visual........

My apologies to John Dorn (man, John, how could I screw that one up), one of my favorite tuba players on earth and all-around good guy.
