Die Walkure

A buddy of mine and myself were listening to a ripped off copy of Die Walkure that we believe is the Metropolitan Opera. We have no way of knowing who it is for sure though. Clue: Sounds like a trombone jumps an entrance in Wotan's Farewell. Any ideas? Also, who was the tubist before Chris Hall?

I have no idea if what you have is the Met or not. Sorry.

Some people have the idea that orchestra (and opera) recordings give distinctions that indicate that you can tell who is playing. Most people can't do that. You are going to have to do some research yourself to find out where the recording came from. If you got it off the Internet, you might never know. If you bought it as a record, tape, or CD, and it was made by the same company that issued it originally, you might be able to get the information from the recording company (maybe).
Otherwise, if you believe in them, you might try mystics (I don't believe in mystics.)
