Did Mehta do a Planets with New York?

Of course he did the famous one with LA, but did he also do one with NY?

Yes he did. Its on Teldec. Its not currently in print. But it is a great recording. Warren Deck sounds phenomenal as always.

I have the Teldec release, but this one says Elektra. Don't know if they're one in the same. Seems to be *about* the same vintage.

Yup..this is the same recording. Mehta only recorded it once with NY Phil and Teldec is part of the Warner/Elektra/Atlantic group. If I remember correctly, Joe Alessi played the euph solos on this recording!
