Does anyone know for sure who is playing tuba on the Concertgebouw recording with Colin Davis (Philips label, 1974)?
This is probably my favorite Dies Irae. I just love how it sounds! And it's amusing to hear on about the third note or so (of the dies irae) that the tubas got "the hand".
