I was listening to Bobissimo on my right into work this morning. I searched the archives and I couldn't find the answer to my question. What tubas did Roger Bobo use on that album? I'm sure the answer is Miraphone, but I'm curious which models.

All of the tubas on this CD were Mirafones:

Recorded around 1968:
Barat, Galliard - Mirafone 180 F Tuba
Kraft, Wilder (Effie), Hindemith - Mirafone 184 CC

Recorded 1978:
Wilder (Encore), Spillman, Lazarof - Mirafone 184 CC with a Besson Eb bell.

Roger did not play Yamaha F tubas until 1990 after he left the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Yamaha did not get into the pro level F tuba game until the late 1980's.

Thank you sir. I had a feeling you knew and that you would chime in.
