Juilliard Orchestra, 1989, Persichetti's Night Dances

Post by tubafatness »

Hello, one and all!

I'm back again, and I'm curious to know who played tuba on the Juilliard Orchestra's recording of Vincent Persichetti's "Night Dances, op. 114." The recording date for the piece was November 16, 1989, and it was recorded in Manhattan Center, New York.

Thanks!
Aaron H.

That would be me. I was playing on a rotary PT-5, which was more or less a prototype of the PT-6. I think that disc also has a Milton Babbitt piece on it, and Steve Foreman recorded that tune.
