Sherlock Holmes
I just went and enjoyed the film. Lots of fun! Who played that amazing tuba part? Great bounce and unique tone. Any ideas?

Re: Sherlock Holmes
I agree - it was quite interesting! I had the same question (especially about the segment with the chase through the street circus ) but no solid answers. There is this article and this one has an audio interview with the composer but no quick sure answer. After listening to that interview, I think the recording session was in the UK, but not sure.
The composer Hans Zimmer's "go-to" tubist these days seems to be Doug Tornquist, but I don't find a confirmation for him being on Sherlock Holmes. (Probably will have to look at the actual CD box notes to find out.)
another very interesting article here (but with no names for the brass section) - this soundtrack has generated a lot of press/web interest!

Re: Sherlock Holmes
Who would have thought there would be a website for just brass instruments in movies?!
