Nanny McPhee -The Big Bang

Post by The Deep End »

First of all, I have to own up to having seen this film...!! Actually, it's not bad - although my children probably enjoyed it more than me, had it not been for the fantastic tuba part in the soundtrack ! Some great solos in this one by James Newton Howard. I think it was recorded in London and it sounds very like Owen Slade, but I could be wrong here. Anyone know.....?

At one time, I was under the impression that the London Symphony recorded the soundtrack for Nanny McPhee.... I can't recall if I saw it listed in the credits, or in my friend's soundtrack booklet.... if I get a chance, I'll check it out again

There is a 10+ minute sound clip from this pic on YouTube at

Music is by James Newton Howard.

By the way, they seem to be releasing it under the title
Nanny McPhee Returns instead of NMATBB.
