(Let's see if I can remember any of my two semesters of German from 60 years ago...)

Once there was an F-tuba, which had a 4 piston valves and one rotary valve. One day this Tuba, who was always alone, made the aquaintance of an Eflat-tuba with only four piston valves. The F-tuba could not at first imagine that an Eflat-tuba could sound so beautiful.

(Oh, oh, my Eb heard that and demands to meet that handsome and romantic F 'er for a possible duet!)
