Yep, that was the jazz ensemble from the 15th Air Force Band, formerly stationed out at March Air Force Base in Riverside, CA. I recognize a couple of the guys in the group, although this clip predates my tenure with the band by about five years. Like most military bands today, smaller ensembles are put together as needed from folks within the unit. The band was shut down in the summer of '94, and the flag went north to Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, CA.

Some very nice singing from the Meltone!
