Just watched this made for TV movie last night via Netflicks. There are several scenes with a small brass band, prominent tuba, Baritone/Euph and Alto/Tenor horn players (seemed to really be playing their horns.) At first I thought the age of the instruments was not correct, but since the book was written in 1886 and the only time reference in this fiction I heard was Prince Edward's 10th birthday (1851) I am not going to be too picky.
So anybody on the list know the horn players - probably from the UK?
There also was a dance scene with a fiddle and some unseen bass wind instrument - sounded more brassy than a Bassoon, but maybe not an Ophicleide.
