Mahler 6 NYPO/Bernstein
Heard this on a broadcast last night. Great playing, whoever the tubist was! Any ideas?

Indeed it was Joe Novotny. This is my all-time favorite recording.

That's the first Mahler recording I ever purchased back in 6th grade. It's still in my Top 10, and always will be.

Listened to this for the first time today, have it in a recently purchased Bernstein/Mahler boxed set. Have to agree, Joe knocks the crap out of that last movement.
